Cloud Study

It takes some time to watch these cumulus clouds grow. There's a cycle of growth and death kind of like a flower.

I like the First Tulips painting but had some changes in mind as to color and composition. I'll likely try again, since this effort uncovered more areas to experiment with.

Carnation mapping

When I'm doing nature studies, I'll sometimes map the object by fitting some part of it into a square and dividing that into 3rds or 4ths. the results usually surprise me. This one reminds me of the tall stove pipe hat illusion where the brim is much wider than it appears.

Discovery drawings

I'd like to understand the whole well enough to avoid getting details out of proportion like in the bottom drawing. The middle drawing is less to look at but is starting to capture the form.

Edges

I Like Spring for lots of reasons. The arrival of these flowers is one.

Daffodil Study

I'd like to draw these from imagination, in different angles and light sources.

Flower Study

I feel like I just had a conversation with a daffodil... "look at me very closely and I will show you my secrets". Just a start, I know there's a lot more to see.
