I will usually learn something new with each painting . Sometimes I'm looking to discover something specific, and the painting is setup with that goal in mind. Other times you just take the lesson that comes.
an experiment to see more color in these yellow bananas. I did get some of the color interaction I'm trying for. I see The color differences could be a lot bolder.
Pinocchio Doll and twig chair, Naomi has a bunch of these "critters" so I'll just keep painting them using Red, Yellow, Black, and White. The challenge I face using this pallet is to keep the colors clean, and to make Black look like Blue.
I was able to keep the colors clean by putting them on with a pallet knife and moving them with a brush. Going back into a painting this way is a new technique for me.I got the idea looking at Jane Hunt's blog post This morning
