Aspen Trees

The thin Aspen trunks were what looked interesting to me. I found a pallet knife edge worked best to make the thin lines of color.

Field Sunflowers 2

Color is still the most fun thing about painting. One thing I'm trying to do is see the color in shadows, and also to keep the colors in harmony.

Yaquina Bay Bridge

I discovered a mix of color for the pines that was very enjoyable to use, burnt umber and blue with a little white.

Pinocchio and chair

Pinocchio Doll and twig chair, Naomi has a bunch of these "critters" so I'll just keep painting them using Red, Yellow, Black, and White. The challenge I face using this pallet is to keep the colors clean, and to make Black look like Blue.
