Yellow Carnation

What I learned is that if I can't see the colors It's OK to trust my feelings. After using what I felt was the right color paint, I could see it in the subject.

Hi, Steve
This is beautiful! You've created a very pensive mood in this-a great example of trusting your instincts.

Hi Steven
Thanks for you encouraging comment.
I like the idea of making intuitive choices, but I know that just random color choices sometime work also.

That is a fascinating concept and I am so glad I just heard you say that - if you can't see the colour, trust your feelings. I only just started to do that I think with my last painting and it's so true! We are not aiming to get an exact copy but a personal interpretation of something. You have a really intelligent colour sensitivity.

I should share the limited pallet I'm using because it accounts for why even random color choices tend to harmonize. It's as fun as being a reckless driver in a "bumper car"!

Red earth, Yellow earth, Ivory black, and White.
